The USRowing Head Race National Championships, the Head of the Gennessee, the Head of the Ohio and OCU Head of the Oklahoma all continue for another day.
The 21st Tail of the Lake will be held in Seattle,Washington hosted by the Holy Names Academy and Lake Union Crew. There will be 388 entries from 31 clubs on Lake Union. See the web for information: http://www.lakeunion.com
The 6k Textile River Regatta will be held in Lowell, Massachusetts hosted by the Textile River Committee consisting of members from the Merrimack River Rowing Association, along with the UMass Lowell and Lowell High School rowing programs. In Fairfax, Virginia, rowers will compete in a head race in the Occoquan Challenge.
The 15th annual Spartan Sweepstakes Regatta on the Mohawk River in Scotia, New York is organized by the Burnt Hills Rowing Association. There will be 143 entries from 12 clubs.
The Tail of the Fox – Wisconsin will be held in De Pere, hosted by La Baie Verte Rowing Club on you guessed it, Fox River. For information and results see: http://www.lbvrc.org
The Head of the Riverfront will compete on the Connecticut River, in Hartford as it has done every year since 1998. This includes Master, Open, Collegiate Men & Women, Adaptive and Junior hosted by Riverfront Recapture. New this year, the Head of the Riverfront is now a USRowing Registered regatta. To be a sanctioned event a jury of USRowing trained and certified officials designate each regatta as a nationally recognized safe and fair event. Congratulations to the non-profit whose goal is to reconnect the city of Hartford with the Connecticut River through rowing and accessibility to 4 riverfront parks in both Hartford and East Hartford.
