What to wear, what to wear… So many layers!
With mornings getting colder and Daylight Savings time just days away, now is a good time to ready your layers and outerwear for the comforting task of keeping you warm. That is if you haven’t already risen to the toasty task!
First Layer: Base layer, usually Techwick
Second Layer: Insulation: Fleece, Microfleece is best if continuing to layer
Third Layer: Insulation: Down
Fourth Layer: Hard Shell
Also just as important is to keep layers of dry gear in your duffle. Changing into dry attire is one warm pleasure especially when getting caught in wet weather. I once rowed probably my fastest when caught in unpredicted hail. I still remember the toasty warmth of an old grey oversized waffle lined hoodie that was stowed in the car. It became my bestie with a cup of cocoa that day.
