Daylight Savings Time and the First of the November Regattas

Happy November! It’s Daylight Savings time yet again and we welcome, really welcome falling back to another hour of sleep. Somehow the luxury of another hour meshes too quickly into our busy routines, so relish the extra time while you can.

Here are today’s regattas:

In California, That Dam Head Race will be held in  El Sobrante, California hosted by Oakland Strokes, Inc. on San Pablo Reservoir. There will be 101 entries from 6 clubs. Web:

 The Wichita Frostbite Regatta will be held on the Little Arkansas River, in you know it, Wichita, Kansas hosted by the Wichita Rowing Association. There will be 325 entries from 26 clubs on the Henley distance course of 1.7 miles starting from the 11th Street Bridge. Master – Open – Collegiate Men – Collegiate Women – Collegiate Men & Women – HS and Junior. Web:

 The Portland Fall Classic will be held on the Willamette River, in Portland Oregon. There will be 242 entries from 30 clubs. Master – Open – Collegiate Men & Women – Junior and Novice will be hosted by the  Rose City Rowing Club and the Station L Rowing Club. Web:

The Princeton 3-Mile Chase will be held in Princeton, New Jersey hosted by Princeton University & the Carnegie Lake Rowing Association. There will be 295 entries from 35 clubs on Lake Carnegie. Web:
