Here and there, just a bit across the Atlantic, rowing heats up despite cold temps in the Northeast.
The Denver Indoor Rowing Championships continue another day hosted by Mile High Rowing and Colorado Athletic Club Monaco Junior Crew.
The Hampton Roads Erg Pull in Norfolk, Virginia will be hosted by the Hampton Roads Rowing Club at Bishop Sullivan High School. There will be 204 entries from 17 clubs.
In Philly, the Center City Slam, a 2000m race will be held at the Drexel University Armory located on N. 33rd St. between Market and Arch streets. The event is sponsored by Center City Slam, LLC.
In where else but Texas, the Erg Rodeo will be held in Austin. Texas Crew will host 306 entries from 11 clubs in the Gregory Gymnasium Arena at 2101 Speedway. The best time in each heat will earn the prized Erg Rodeo swag belt buckle.
The President’s Day Regatta will be held in Long Beach, California for High School and Junior competitors. Long Beach Junior Crew will host 254 entries from 11 clubs.
In Florida, the Southern Sprints Indoor Championships will be held in the Clemente Sports and Recreation Center on the Florida Institute of Technology Campus, 150 West University Boulevard, Melbourne. This is a Concept2 Crash-B Satellite event. Florida Tech Crew will host Master, Collegiate, High School, Adaptive, Junior, Novice, and Coxswain categories.
The Iowa Indoor Rowing Challenge will be held at the University of Iowa Field House. Hawkeye Community Rowing will host Open, Junior, Other and Youth (5-12 yrs) entries.
In Oklahoma City, the OKC Riversport Erg Challenge will be held in the Cox Convention Center at 1 Myriad Gardens as part of the Bart and Nadia Sports Experience in association with The Oklahoman. OKC Riversport will host 168 entries from 9 clubs.
And, on the other side of the pond, the Great Britain Rowing Team third assessment of the season will take place in Boston, Lincolnshire.
