In Memory of Doc Hosea and More

 High winds abound causing cancellations and venue changes and a bit of April snow in parts of the Northeast.

 *CANCELLATION: The Flick-Horvat Regatta III, Schuylkill River, Philadelphia for High School Rowers hosted by Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing due to high winds warning.

*CANCELLATION: Upper Midwest Collegiate Sprints planned for Omaha hosted by Creighton University.

The Doc Hosea Invitational will continue from yesterday’s impromptu 5:30pm start (in anticipation of today’s afternoon forecast of high winds) on Fish Creek in Saratoga, New York. Doctor Timothy Hosea was a USRowing Team Physican who passed away last year. Boston University, Dartmouth, Northeastern, Syracuse, Navy, UMass, Minnesota, Penn and URI will race the 2000m course in his honor.

The San Diego Crew Classic also continues for another day at Fiesta Bay-Crown Point Shores.

In Virginia, the Occoquan Sprints will be held on the Occoquan Reservoir in Lorton for Collegiate hosted by George Mason University Crew.

 And in British Rowing, the Northwich Spring Head Of The River, a 2350m race will be held on the River Weaver in the heart of Chesire, North West region hosted by Northwich Rowing Club.
