MPSRA, ACRA, DDRC & More

MPSRA, ACRA and DDRC, do you know what they mean? I know just another acronym unless it’s your acronym and important to you. But check these out because these acronyms represent rowers and coaches devoted to their teams and their sport, just like you. 
 

The MPSRA Spring Championship will be held today, May 29, 2016 on the Merrimack River in  Lowell, Massachusetts. Massachusetts Public Schools Rowing Association will host 188 entries from 17 clubs. 

The ACRA National Championship Regatta continues for another day on  Lake Lanier in  Gainesville, Georgia hosted by the American Collegiate Rowing Association.

  

Pittsford Regatta continues for another day at Schoen Place in Pittsford, New York hosted by Pittsford Crew.

  American Youth Cup III will also continue at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida hosted by Sarasota Crew.

  

In Canada, the Défi du Canal de Lachine will be held on the Lachine Canal in Lachine, Quebec. The Club D’Aviron de Lachine/Lachine Rowing Club will host 63 entries from 11 clubs. 

The DDRC Scholastic Regatta will wrap up at Deas Island Regional Park in Delta, BC hosted by the Delta Deas Rowing Club.

   

In British Rowing, the Monmouth Regatta will be held on the River Wye hosted by Monmouth Rowing Club.

  

In World Rowing, World Cup II will head to finals today in Lucerne, Switzerland. For livestream check HERE.

New England Interscholastic Rowing Championships and More

 Today is going to be a hot one with lots of holiday traffic here in the United States. Record temperatures and the highest temperatures ever have been recorded in Guatemela, Mexico and Puerto Rico. So more than ever, make sure to gear up and hydrate! 
 The New England Interscholastic Rowing Championships will be held today in Worcester, Massachusetts. NEIRA will host 218 entries from 51 club on a day with record high temperatures and humidity forecasted for the  New England region for the US, so please hydrate!  

 

  Pittsford Crew will host the Pittsfield Regatta at Schoen Place in Pittsfield, New York. There will be 243 entries from 26 clubs. 

  

The ACRA National Championship Regatta will be held today May 28, 2016 to May 29, 2016 on Lake Lanier in Gainesville, Georgia. American Collegiate Rowing Association will host 309 entries from 64 clubs. For livestream on the Rowing Channel check HERE.

  American Youth Cup III will be held today moving to finals tomorrow May 29, 2016 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida. Sarasota Crew will host 19 entries from 3 clubs.

The SRAA National Championships Regatta continues today May 28 through tomorrow May 29 in Nashport, Ohio hosted by the Scholastic Rowing Association of America on Dillon Lake. 

The NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships, Division I will finish today on Lake Natoma in California at the Sacramento State Acquatic Center. 

  In Canada, the London Rowing Society will host the 33rd Annual Doug and Sam Wells Western Ontario Secondary School Rowing Championship on Lake Fanshawe at the Fanshawe Conservation area in London, Ontario. London Rowing Society will host 208 entries from 33 clubs.

Delta Deas Rowing Club will host 315 entries from 13 clubs to the DDRC Scholastic Regatta at Deas Island Park in Delta, BC.  

 In British Rowing, the Monmouth Sprint will be held today while the Monmouth Regatta will be held tomorrow hosted by the Monmouth Rowing Club founded in 1929. 

The Twickenham Regatta will be held Saturday in the Thames region. 

The Cambois Regatta will be held today in the Northern region. 

And the the National School’s Regatta will continue today and tomorrow in the East Midlands region on Dorney Lake at the Eton College Rowing Centre, off Court Lane, Dorney, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 6QP.

SRAA, NCAA, Brit National School & World Cup II

  

The Scholastic Association National Championships, the National Collegiate Athletic Association Championships, the British National School’s Regatta and World Cup II all start today. Wow! Need I say more? 

 

 The SRAA National Championships Regatta will be held today May 27 through tomorrow May 28 in Nashport, Ohio. The Scholastic Rowing Association of America will host 489 high school entries from 159 clubs on Dillon Lake. 

 

 Starting May 27 through  May 29, 2016, the NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships, Division I will be held on Lake Natoma in California at the Sacramento State Acquatic Center. Duke will be competing for the first time. 

 

In British Rowing, the National School’s Regatta will be held over the next three days in the East Midlands region on Dorney Lake at the Eton College Rowing Centre, off Court Lane, Dorney, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 6QP. The largest regatta for Juniors in Great Britain, the National School’s Regatta was first raced in 1947 and has continued to be held annually in May for Junior rowers between J14 and J18. 

  

In World Rowing, the World Cup II will be held in Lucerne, Switzerland on the heels of the FISA European and Final Olympic Qualification Regatta. With the Rio Olympic Games in sight with a little more than two months ahead in August, racing starts today, Friday May 27 with finals on Saturday and Sunday. Rowing in Connecticut and Beyond

Academic Calendars wind down with Spring Championships just as the excitement heats up on the row to Rio with the FISA European and Final Olympic Qualification Regatta in Switzerland.The 26th Annual Connecticut Public Schools Rowing Championships will be held today, Sunday May 22 at Lake Waramaug State Park in New Preston, Connecticut. Connecticut Public Schools Rowing Association will host 89 High School entries from 22 clubs.  
  The Under 17 West Coast Championships will be held in California. Oakland Strokes will host 126 Junior entries from 10 clubs today on San Pablo Reservoir in Orinda. 

  The Dogwood Masters Classic will also be held today in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, home of Atomic Rowing. Oak Ridge Rowing Association will host 126 Master and Open entries from 18 clubs to the 1000m course on Melton Lake.
   And continuing for another day in Ohio, the Midwest Junior Rowing Championship will be hosted by Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club to a 2000m buoyed course on Harsha Lake at East Fork State Park. 
 The USRowing Northeast Youth Championships will finish today on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts hosted by USRowing. 

 USRowing will also host the USRowing Northwest Youth Championships wrapping up today in Vancouver, Washington.  

  In British Rowing, the 2016 Shanklin Regatta will be held today as it has been for the last  161 years hosted by the Shanklin Sansdown Rowing Club.

   

And the Weybridge Ladies ARC Regatta will be held on the River Thames on the Thames Tow Path, Walton Lane, Weybridge, Surrey hosted by WLARC.

Gold Rush Masters and More

  

The Sacramento Aquatic Center invites 321 Master entries from 21 clubs to the 2016 Gold Rush Masters Regatta for a chance to strike gold like the Gold Rush Miners of 1849. These hopefuls will row a 1000m buoyed course with boat stakes on Lake Natoma in Gold River, California. 
  

The Orchard Beach Masters Regatta will be held today at the Orchard Beach Lagoon in New Rochelle, New York. Pelham Community Rowing Association will host 54 Master entries from 17 clubs.

  Chargers Rowing Club will host 106 High School and Junior entries from 13 clubs to the Chargers Junior Invitational on Onondaga Lake in Syracuse, New York.

  

 
The Scholastic Rowing Association of Michigan Championship Regatta will be held today on Grand River in Grand Rapids, Michigan hosted by the Scholastic Rowing Association of Michigan.  

 The Midwest Junior Rowing Championship will be held today through tomorrow May 22 in Bantam, Ohio. The Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club will host 491 High School and Junior Entries from 36 clubs to the 2000m buoyed course on Harsha Lake at East Fork State Park for singles, pairs, double quads, and coxed fours and eights. Categories include novice, lightweight and varsity. 

   
USRowing Northeast Youth Championships will be held today and tomorrow on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts. USRowing will host 429 High School and Junior entries from 48 clubs.  

USRowing Northwest Youth Championships continue today and wrap up tomorrow in Vancouver, Washington hosted by USRowing.

  And the Stotesbury Cup Regatta will finish today in Philadelphia on the Schuylkill hosted by Schuylkill Navy.

 

In Canada, the South Niagara Rowing Club will host the SNRC Rowing Invitational in Welland, Ontario. 590 High School and Junior entries from 74 clubs will compete on the South Course of Welland International Flatwater Centre. 

  

In British Rowing, the Walton & Weybridge Regatta will be held today on the River Thames in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, England. The Walton & Waybridge Regatta has been held annually since 1862. For livestream check HERE.

  The Worcester Spring Regatta will be held today in the West Midlands region hosted by the Worcester Rowing Club.

  And the Tees Regatta (ML) will be held today on the River Tees in the Northern region hosted by the Tees Rowing Club, home course to 2012 Olympic champion Kay Copeland.
