The Scholastic Association National Championships, the National Collegiate Athletic Association Championships, the British National School’s Regatta and World Cup II all start today. Wow! Need I say more?
The SRAA National Championships Regatta will be held today May 27 through tomorrow May 28 in Nashport, Ohio. The Scholastic Rowing Association of America will host 489 high school entries from 159 clubs on Dillon Lake.
Starting May 27 through May 29, 2016, the NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships, Division I will be held on Lake Natoma in California at the Sacramento State Acquatic Center. Duke will be competing for the first time.
In British Rowing, the National School’s Regatta will be held over the next three days in the East Midlands region on Dorney Lake at the Eton College Rowing Centre, off Court Lane, Dorney, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 6QP. The largest regatta for Juniors in Great Britain, the National School’s Regatta was first raced in 1947 and has continued to be held annually in May for Junior rowers between J14 and J18.
In World Rowing, the World Cup II will be held in Lucerne, Switzerland on the heels of the FISA European and Final Olympic Qualification Regatta. With the Rio Olympic Games in sight with a little more than two months ahead in August, racing starts today, Friday May 27 with finals on Saturday and Sunday.
