Olympic officials cancel rowing events, 8/7/2016

I’m posting early and haven’t yet seen a hint of cancellation or any news concerning today’s rowing at the Summer Olympic Games in Rio. So, if and I mean if, Olympic rowing continues today, August 8, 2016, the following is the anticipated schedule for the lake at Lagoa stadium. Strong gusts of wind have been a big problem making for rough water and understandably stressed out rowers. 
  

Today’s scheduled events: 

7:30am Men’s quadruple sculls

7:40am Women’s quadruple sculls 

7:50am Women’s coxed eight 

8:10am Men’s coxed eight

8:30am Men’s single sculls

9:00am Women’s single sculls

9:30am Men’s coxless pair

9:40am Women’s double scull

9:50am Men’s double sculls

10:00am Men’s coxless lightweight four

10:10am Women’s lightweight double sculls

10:50am Men’s lightweight double sculls

11:3oam Women’s coxless pair

12:00 Men’s coxless four
