Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship continues today, April 30 in Rancho Cordova, California. Sacramento State Aquatic Center/Capital hosts 238 Collegiate entries from 24 clubs at Nimbus Flat on Lake Natoma. 


FSRA Sweep Championship wraps up today in Sarasota, Florida. Florida Scholastic Rowing Association hosts 273 High School and Junior entries from 41 clubs at Benderson Park. 


Maryland High School Rowing Championships will be held today in Chestertown, Maryland. Washington College hosts 111 entries from 11 clubs on Chester River.

Ithaca Inlet Ice Breaker Invitational will be held in Ithaca, New York. Cascadilla Boat Club will host 56 entries from 8 clubs at Cayuga Lake Inlet. 


Cooper Cup will be held at Cooper River, Camden County, New Jersey. South Jersey Boating Club will host 406 High School, Junior and Novice entries. 


MACRA Championships will be held in Batavia, Ohio. University of Cincinnati Rowing Club will host 131 Collegiate entries from 19 clubs. 


Women’s Sprints will be held today in Worcester, Massachusetts. USRowing will host 78 Collegiate entries from 16 clubs on Lake Quinsigamond.

In Canada, the 47th Brentwood Regatta will finish Sunday, April 30 at Brentwood College School in Mill Bay, BC. Brentwood College School hosts Open, High School, Junior and Novice entries on Vancouver Island.

Wallingford Regatta, a 2000m venue on Dorney Lake in Eton will be held Sunday 30th April 2017 in the Thames region hosted by Wallingford Rowing Club.


Chester Le Street Regatta will be held Sunday 30th April 2017 in the Northern region hosted by Chester-le-street Amateur Rowing Club.

Al Urquia Regatta will be held today, April  29, 2017 at Occoquan Reservoir in Fairfax Station, Virginia. Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association will host 250 entries from 35 clubs.

22nd Annual Grand Rapids High School Rowing Invitational will be held today, April 29, 2017 at Grand River in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Forest Hills Central Rowing will host 176 entries from 13 clubs. 
Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championship will be held today, April 29, 2017 at Gifford Pinchot State Park on Pinchot Lake in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania. Marietta College will host 103 Collegiate entries from 22 clubs. 

Big Row will be held in Redwood Shores, California for Collegiate entries. 


Hebda Cup Regatta will be held today in Wyandotte, Michigan for High School entries hosted by Wyandotte Boat Club.


Lake Shawnee Spring Classic will be held today, April 29, 2017 in Topeka, Kansas. Topeka Rowing Association will host 152 Master, Collegiate, Open and Junior entries from 19 clubs.

2017 World Masters Games

The Rowing segment of the 2017 World Masters Games begin today, Monday, April 24 and continue through April 28 at Lake Karapiro in New Zealand.

The 2017 World Masters Games are hosted and governed by the International Masters Games Association. Athletes of every ability often comprised of former professional athletes and Olympians compete every four years. The minimum age for competitors is usually 35. The minimum age for rowing competition in the World Masters Games is to be 27 years of age by December 31, 2017. This year the 2017 World Masters Games are held in Auckand. Past games have been held in Brisbane, Oregon, Edmonton and Syndey. 


Man Kaur from India just won her 17th gold medal with a time of 1 minute 14 seconds for the 100m sprint at the 2017 World Master Games breaking the 2009 record by 64.42 set by Usain Bolt in Syndey. Man Kaur was the only one to compete in the 100+ category at 101!

Rowing facilities at Lake Karapiro are located just south of Auckland where most of the World Master Games are scheduled in the Waipa District. Lake Karapiro is a manmade lake of calm water. Events include: Single Scull (1x), Double Scull (2x), Double Scull (2x), Coxless Pairs (2-), Quad Scull (4x), Coxed Four (4+), Coxless Four (4-) and Eight (8+). Para Events include: Para A Single (1x), Para LTA Single (1x) and Para LTA Double (2x).


Age categories are as follows: 

A: Average age 27 or more

B: Average age 36 years or more

C: Average age 43 years or more

D: Average age 50 years or more

E: Average age 55 years or more

F: Average age 60 years or more

G: Average age 65 years or more

H: Average age 70 years or more

Row for Autism 2017 will be held today April 23, 2017 at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington, New York. Friends of Port Rowing will host 168 Master, Open Adaptive and Junior entries from 15 clubs.

Mercer Lake/ISA Sculling Championships finish today, April 23 at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey. Princeton National Rowing Association will host 542 High School and Junior entries from 49 clubs. 

Texas Rowing Championships wrap up today, April 23 at Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas. Austin Rowing Club will host 474 Master, Open, Adaptive and Junior entries from 19 clubs.

Covered Bridge Regatta continues today, April 23 at Dexter Lake, 15 miles Southeast of Eugene, Oregon. Oregon Association of Rowers, a.k.a. OARS hosts 546 Master, Open, High School, Junior and Novice entries from 28 clubs.

5th Manny Flick / Horvat Series will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association hosts 567 High School entries from 81 clubs. 


West Coast Scholastic Championship will be held at Lake Olay in Chula Vista/San Diego California. USRowing will host 44 High School entries from 6 clubs. 


Mason Invite will be held at Sandy Run Regional Park/Occoquan Reservoir in Fairfax Station, Virginia. George Mason University Rowing will host 39 Collegiate entries from 8 clubs.


21st Presidents Cup will be held in Greene, Maine for Collegiate entries hosted by Bowdoin Rowing.

International Masters Regatta will be held today April 23, 2017 at Shing Mun River in Sha Tin, Hong Kong. Hong Kong, China Rowing Association  hosts 55 entries from 15 clubs.

Harvard Henley Regatta will be held at Bare Hill Pond in  Harvard, Massachusetts for High School entries hosted by Bare Hill Rowing.

The Hoover will be held in Westerville, Ohio.  Westerville Crew will host 120 High School and Junior entries at Hoover Reservoir. 


North Carolina Youth Rowing Championships will be held today at Oak Hollow Lake in High Point, North Carolina. High Point Rowing Club will host 81 Junior entries from 6 clubs.


Redhawk Sprints will be held at Hueston Woods State Park on Acton Lake in Oxford, Ohio. Miami University Rowing Club hosts 37 Open and Collegiate entries from 6 clubs.


19th Annual Busfield Regatta Will be held at Les Wagner Rowing Center in Owego, New York. Binghamton University Crew will host a floating start 2k for 30 Open and Collegiate entries from 5 clubs. 


5th Annual Illinois Collegiate Rowing Invitational will be held in Dewitt, Illinois hosted by Illinois Rowing Association for Collegiate entries.

 Head of the Cam, a 2,600m upstream course on the River Cam will be held Saturday 22nd April 2017 hosted by Cambridgeshire Rowing Association.


Hammersmith Amateur Regatta, a free start 1400m with the tide will be held Saturday 22nd April 2017 in the Thames region hosted by an independent committee under British Rowing.
